Margaret Fraise

MargaretAnn Fraise, 57, of West Point, died at 12:51 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, atGreat River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born March 30, 1951,in Burlington, she was the daughter of Preston and Helen Russell McCartney. OnDec. 4, 1976, she married Melvin Francis Fraise in Fort Madison. He died April5, 2006.

Mrs. Fraise worked at Wal-Mart. She was a member of St. Joseph's CatholicChurch in Montrose. She enjoyed bingo, her dogs, flowers and her yard.

Survivors include oneson, Mac Fraise of Argyle; two daughters, Melody Seaver of Arbela, Mo., andMichelle "Shelly" Fraise of West Point; nine grandchildren; sixsisters, Suneava Ghrist of Buffalo, Sherry Chaknine of Keokuk, Bette Fraise ofCroton, Robin Moore, Laurie Klein and Cindy Borst, all of Olin; two brothers,Jerry McCartney of Winterhaven, Fla., and Samual McCartney of Blakesburg;nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home& Crematory in West Point, where the family will receive friends from 5 to7 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Fraise will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home,with the Rev. Troy Richmond officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery,West Point.

A memorial has been established.
