According to his wishes the body of Mr. Houston has been cremated. Gary Alan Houston, 56, of Burlington, Iowa died Friday, August 10, 2007, at his residence. Born April 1, 1951 in Burlington, he was the son of Clifford Clarence Houston and Rita Ann McLaughlin Houston Smith. Mr. Houston was a 1970 graduate of Notre Dame High School and was a graduate of University of Iowa with a degree in psychology. He was a former teacher and coach at Notre Dame High School and later a private business owner for 20 years. Survivors include his sister, Vickie Rios of Burlington; brother, Terry Houston of Florida; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. His parents preceded him in death.
