Richard Joseph Robinson
Richard "Rick"Joseph Robinson, 56, of Mesa, Ariz., died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at Banner Baywood Hospital in Mesa of heart complications.
Born March 29, 1952, in Burlington, he was the son of Bertrand "Sinker" and Phyllis Smith Robinson.
Mr. Robinson worked as a salesman for B. L. Robinson Inc. until he relocated to Fountain Hills, Ariz., in 1993. He also owned and operated a pizza chain with his brother, Tim, and worked as an acting supervisor at Fort McDowell Casino.
He was a graduate of Burlington Notre Dame High School and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He was a past member of the Notre Dame school board and served on the Steamboat Days committee.
Survivors include his parents; one son, Patrick Robinson of Queen Creek, Ariz.; one daughter, Laura Amidan of Ogden, Utah; one grandson; one brother, Tim Robinson of Fountain Hills; and three sisters, Judy Osbourn of Grapevine, Texas, Lisa Jennison of Burlington and Erin Green of Urbandale.
His body has been deeded to science.
The memorial mass for Mr. Robinson will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Burlington, with the Rev. Patrick Hilgendorf officiating.
A memorial has been established for the Burlington Notre Dame Foundation.
