Sixteen-year old Michael James Imming died Saturday Oct. 5, in Mercy hospital of injuries suffered September 28 in a traffic accident.
He was Des Moines county's 13th traffic fatality this year. He remained uncounsious from the time of the accident on Division, until his death.
Imming, a Notre Dame high school junior was the son of the Elmer Immings, 2210 Williams. He suffered a skull injury.
He was born April 13, 1952 at Davenport, the son of Dr. Elmer and Dr. Louise Kubis Imming. He was employed at Hy-Vee on Roosevelt and was a member of St. John's Catholic church.
Surviving: The parents, two brothers, Thomas, at home and David, a student at the University of Iowa a sister Janice, at home; and a number of aunts and uncles.
Services: Tuesday in St. John's Catholic church at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Sacred Heart cemetery. The rosary will be recited in St. John's Monday at 7 p.m.
